Kidnapped in Haiti is out in the wide world.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks. The publisher is still waiting for the second shipment of books, and for this reason has had to limit some sales. However, news is that the shipment of books from overseas is now on land, so that is promising. (My husband informed me that at his workplace they were told the same thing in May about some printers. They still haven’t gotten them. Let’s hope for the best!)
Anyway, after all this work, I’m in the mood for something fun.
While I was signing copies of Kidnapped in Haiti the other day, I accidentally signed one wrong. Normally, I sign my name on the second page above my printed name. In the case of this book, I signed it on the very first page, where my name is not printed. (I’ll admit, I considered not signing them this time.)
We had a lot of work to do so I just said “Oh, well,” and passed it on to the stack to get packaged.
Now, I’m suddenly curious who got that copy of the book. Please email me a photo of it if you think you have it. For fun, I’ll send you a second copy of the book to give as a gift, or refund your initial purchase (this will only work if you paid with a credit card or PayPal).
Go check your bookcase, because I’d really love to find that book!
For those who aren’t already on my email list, I am in the process of sharing a three-part series of the behind-the-scenes blessings and challenges of writing Kidnapped in Haiti. You can still jump in by signing on below, and I’ll re-send you the emails that already went out.

I donated my copy to the local library. Now I have to wait until Monday before I can find out!
I quickly reached for mine to check… I opened the cover with baited breath…. Alas! I am not the one.
Aw, too bad! I still haven’t discovered it.
