I’ll post my regular Saturday blog tonight; this is an announcement post to take care of some housekeeping.
- First, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your stories of the people in your life with the heart of a servant. What inspiration! (Announcement of winners shortly.) I also met another person this week that I will tell you about in tonight’s blog.
- Second, I had a rush of spam on my blog since I made it easier to comment (literally hundreds of pathetic advertisements). Until I get that figured out, I had to change the settings so that I need to approve the comment. It’s nothing personal to your comments.
- Third, for locals in northern Indiana: Light of Grace book store in Nappanee will be hosting a “Local Authors Day” on Second Saturday, November 14. This will be the first opportunity to purchase our new book, Faces of Syria.
No, my name is not on the list, since I signed up late, but I am planning to be there! - Fourth, here it is! Although it is still at the printer, this is what the front cover will look like.
5. And last, the winners from last week:
- Sarah Miller, the 8th comment on last week’s blog! She will get a free copy of Faces of Syria, along with the person she nominated for having the heart of a servant:
- It must run in the family Velinda. I thought of Danae Miller. Always the caring one ready to stand by those in need. She is often the first to volunteer when someone is in need. The other week she randomly texted me to see how my day was going even though I hadn’t talked to her in weeks. It was very special!
- Kelsie Troyer, the 24th comment (this one of the Facebook post). She, and the (third) person she nominated will get a copy of Faces of Syria.
- My husband! But just so we don’t get two books, I’ll name someone else: You! But you probably get a free one already. Well, other than you two I’ll say Hannah Glick. She rescued me from some boredom today and came over and made me laugh and think. It made all the difference in my day!
Thank you for blessing me with the stories! I’ll share another one this evening.
